Elections for the FCM National Board of Directors take place at the annual FCM Conference in June.  The Committee has instructed that the process for authorizing a Councillor to stand for election takes place during the annual appointment process.

Any elected official from an FCM member municipality may apply to be appointed to one of FCM’s standing committees (in addition to Board members who also sit on these committees).  Applications are due approximately three weeks after the annual conference.

The FCM President makes committee appointments based on your preferences and experience, as well as the need to balance regional, community size and gender representation on each committee.  Not all of those who apply will be appointed.
